Lady Gaga stated on May 6th through her official social media channels that her upcoming album 'Chromatica' will be sold on May 29th. This surprise announcement came after the release of the tracklist, which contained a feature from Blackpink.
Lady Gaga's album will contain collaborations from not just Blackpink, but also Ariana Grande and Elton John. Blackpink proved their global influence by being in between these representatives of pop music.
Blackpink featured in the album's 10th track 'Sour Candy'. The effect of a collaboration between Blackpink and a popstar has already been proved. Blackpink featured on Dua Lupa's 'Kiss and Make Up', which placed 36th on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100.
Blackpink placed 41st on the Bilboard singles chart 'Hot 100' and 24th on the main album chart 'Bilboard 200' after the release of 'Kill This Love' last year. They appeared on the biggest American festival 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival', had a world tour composed of 4 continents, 23 cities and 32 performances, showing their global influence.
