[MHN Jung Halim reporter] The collaborated track between Blackpink and Lady Gaga placed 17th on the British Official Chart, landing a record for the group.
According to their June 5th chart, the track 'Sour Candy', which Blackpink appeared as a feature for Lady Gaga, ranked 17th in the 'Top 100', which is the singles section.
While they did appear as a feature, it is the highest Blackpink ever reached on the British Official Chart.
Before, Blackpink placed 78th with 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', 33th with 'Kill This Love', and 36th with 'Kiss and Make up', a Dua Lup track they were featured on.
'Sour Candy' was a track off of Lady Gaga's 6th album 'Chromatica', and was released back in the 28th.
Unusually for an American song, the track contains Korean lyrics, and has topped the iTunes charts in 57 different regions.
With it ranking high on the British Official Charts, expectations are raised for its possibility on the other globally recognized chart, Billboard.
Forbes reported back in the 3rd that "'Sour Candy' has the potential of entering the 'Top 100' on Billboard. It would be a historic moment for Blackpink."
