[MHN Roh Pooleun] K-rock band N.Flying is dropping a new EP 'Communication' this day at 6 PM(KST).
The lead track 'Oh Really' delivers a message to think about the importance of communication with other people in times of separation and isolation.
The idea of the song came one day in January of this year when leader Lee Seung-hyub was having lunch with two people who barely knew each other. He saw that out of hospitality, they were saying "Oh really?" to everything the other person said, but it was not enough to hide the awkwardness.
“We say it without thinking much about it, but when we hear it, we can feel lonely even when we’re talking to other people. That’s where our message comes in. We want people to look back at themselves saying ‘Oh really’ every time they do so after listening to this song” said Seo Dong-sung, a new bassist of the group. He officially joined N.Flying on Jan 1 this year as the fifth and youngest member.
Seo used to be the leader of band Honeyst, another K-rock band of FNC Entertainment, the agency of N.Flying. But the band disbanded in April last year, and Seo joined N.Flying which had been bassist-less after former member Kwon Kwang-jin was kicked out after allegations of harassing fans.
Acutally, this was not the first change in members of the group. In 2017, Yoo Hwe-seung joined the group newly after failing to debut as 'WannaOne' in 'Produce 101 season 2'. The team had hard times of gaining media's attention until it had its first taste of success with last year's mega hit 'Rooftop' which stormed charts and television music programs.
Members said "We hope our song lessen listener's loneliness. And we hope people feel the importance of communication when they say "Oh really?" when talking with other people".
The five-member K-rock band's up-coming EP includes tracks such as 'Flower Fantasy', 'YOUTH', 'I'm Gonna', 'and 'E-Yo'.
