'Picniq' is a cafe right in front of exist no.3 of Seon-yu-do subway station. The interior resembles of traditional Korean house, hanok. Just like the name 'picniq', this place sells picnic materials, and Han river is close to this place. The 'picnic package' is consisted of basket, mat, lower, and desserts such as cake, drink, cookies and fruits.
Menus provide braod range of choices from drinks to bakeries. Coffees such as Almond scoops, orange latte and milk based coffees such as green tea chocolate cream latte, blueberry latte, and strawberry latte can be tasted. Fuit teas and ades are sold as well.
The best dessert menu is the souffle pancake. THe chubby pancakes are decorated with sugar powder and colorful fruits make them look delicious. Lemon madeleine and scones are also recommended.
This place is full most of the time, so it is recommended to visit on weekdays than weekends.
Seonyu base is located between Dangsan Station and Seonyudo station. Red bricks are piled up on the exterior and the overall atmosphere reminisces of 1990's retro. Traditional props such as folk paintings and najeon lacquer tables are arranged neatly.
The cafe is composed of two floors, one on the first floor and the other on basement. On the first floor, sunlight enters through window, and on the basement floor, which is rather dark, the beam projector and lightings makes it look like a private place.
Menus are largely divided into coffee, beer, drinks, and dessersts. Dessert menus include cookies, muffins, and cakes. The signature menus are 'ㅅㄹㅇㄸ' and 'ㅍㄹㅅㅇ', which are not proper words but rather an enumeration of consonants. 'ㅅㄹㅇㄸ' is syruped ice mint latte and 'ㅍㄹㅅㅇ' is flat white green tea.
This cafe also operates a picnic material rental service, and also hires out basement floor for parties.
'Tous Tous' is located inside 'The State' hotel and the first and second floors of the hotel are operated as a bakery cafe. Bread and salads, coffees and juices are sold.
High-end menus are sold in restaurant at third floor. Menus include salad, pizza, pasta, steak, and brunch set which can only be ordered during morning hours. Recommended menu is 'mushroom roasted cream pasta' and 'iberico salad'.
