[MHN Jung Halim reporter] Aespa, SM Entertainment's new girl group who are making waves with their concept of co-inhabiting with virtual avatars, are hitting a strong start as their debut single hit the Bilboard global charts.
Aespa's latest track 'Black Mamba', released back in November 17th, entered into the 'Bilboard Global' charts at No. 100 on November 24th.
According to SM Entertainment, the group rose to this ranking in just four days after the single was released, with the ranking being the record for a debut single from a K-Pop artist.
'Black Mamba' ranked at No. 183 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, which includes statistics from the American market.
The Billboard 'Global 200' and the America excluded chart were created by Bilboard last September to tabulate rankings of popular songs all over the world.
Aespa also drew attention in China with their debut, ranking first on the QQ Music Rising chart, as well as second on the New Singles chart.
Aespa is made up of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing, being a multi-national group. They drew attention for having the concept of avatars called 'ae' being able to communicate with the members in the real world.
