Agency SM Entertainment revealed that revealed that Baekgyun's first solo concert 'Beyond LIVE - Baekhyun: Light' on January 3rd was viewed by 110 thousand people from 120 countries.
With hashtags related to the event starting to pop up, the concert became the highest live Twitter trend in France, the Netherlands, Russia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
The concert was performed with Baekhyun's EXO superpower of 'light' as the concept going forward.
Baekhyun performed 23 tracks, which included his solo debut single 'UN Village', songs off of his second EP 'Delight', his most recent single 'Amusement Park', and more.
Especially of note was how he reinterpreted hit EXO and EXO unitsongs such as 'Call Me Baby' and 'Growl', and the reveal of tracks from his upcoming Japanese EP, such as 'Get You Alone', and 'Addicted' drew attention.
The online concert featured AT and XR technologies, utilizing 3D graphics for a lively stage performance that captivated the audience.
For the performance of 'Ghost' and 'Psycho', a 8m giant dancer performed with Baekhyun, and during 'Candy' had him appear as if he was singing within a candy store.
Baekhyun also met fans through a virtual call, and stated, "I want to be with everyone like a light that can always be seen. I will continue to work hard and grow, so please stay with me through my journey.'
After debuting on 2012 with EXO as their lead vocalist, he released his first solo album on 2019.
This second EP 'Delight' released last year became a million seller, and confirmed his place as a star not just in EXO but also as a solo artist.
He will be releasing his first Japanese EP on January 20th, with the music video for its lead single 'Get You Alone' being released on January 4th.
