According to SM Entertainment, the Black Mamba music video surpassed 100 million views after 51 days and 12 hours on January 8th, 5:35 P.M. KST.
This is the fastest record for a music video from a debut K-Pop artist.
The music video, released back in November 17th, already had received attention for reaching 21 million views in just 24 hours.
Aespa stated, "We were very happy to hear that our 'Black Mamba' music video reached 100 million views. It is even more significant for us due to the fact that the record was set by our debut single, and we thank all the fans that have sent us all their love and praise. Aespa will be showing great music and a brigt energy all throughout 2021, so we ask for your support and attention."
Each member of Aespa has their own "ae", or avatar, with the track "Black Mamba" being about a being called the Black Mamba that attempts to disrupt the connection between the members and their avatars. In just three days, the single entered the Billboard "Global Excl. U.S" chart on No.100, with it staying in the chart fot three weeks straight. The song also stayed on top of the Chinese QQMusic Korean chart for three weeks straight as well.
