Released on January 11th, 6 P.M. KST, "Hwaa", the lead single for (G)I-DLE's 4th EP "I burn", surpassed 20 million views in just three days since its release, hitting the milestone on 7 A.M. KST today.
The music video previously hit 10 million views in just 29 hours since the song was released, as well as reaching No. 1 in the "Rising" Youtube category for Korea, as well as in the Worldwide Trending one.
Fans across the globe have stated, "I didn't want the music video to end", "This is a completely different style of video", "This is not just a song but a legendary song", "The type of track only (G)I-DLE could pull off", "The queens are back", and other enthusiastic remarks.
The lead single "Hwaa" is a moombahton song that expresses the emotions after a separation. Famed composer Pop Time, who worked on the group's previous single "DUMDi DUMDi", collaborated with group leader Soyeon for the new project, lighting a fire under the music industry.
