On a conference held at January 27th, they announced plans for Big Hit to invest 30 billion and their subsidiary beNX to invest 40 billion into YG Entertainment subsidiary YG PLUS, for a total of 70 billion won.
Big Hit and beNX will be further strategically collaborating with YG PLUS after this investment, with partnerships on the use of platforms, contents, and more to come about. As such, global membership news from YG PLUS will be communicated through Weverse, and Big Hit Entertainment will be collaborating with YG PLUS for single and album distribution, as well as mechandising.
Both sides are planning on expanding their paths of interaction with fans through the usage of social media platforms, and to use the synergy between it and the usage of various artist IPs and the entertainment lifestyle industry to go forward.
Big Hit stated, "We look forward to the synergy that YG Plus, which has powerful networks in various fields, such as distribution and merchandising production, and Big Hit and beNX, which are strong in artist intellectual property and platforms."
