On May 1st, Afterschool management company noticed, "Due date April 30th, 2018, the contract between our company and Lizzy has expired".
Followed, "The company and Lizzy had seriously considered this issue but concluded to expire the contract with Lizzy cheering her challenge her potential on various fields. The contract has expired but our company keep cheer Lizzy for her bright future as a signer and as an entertainer."
Lizzy also revealed her hand-written letter through fan café. Lizzy wrote, "I wrote this letter to tell everyone that my 2nd round of life has started. I thought I would graduate someday but it feels the graduation has come to me quite earlier than I thought even I stayed 9 years." Added, "After the love I've received, I would become better Lizzy and prove it".
On the other hand, Afterschool is following Japanese Girl group entrance system. Members are not staying in the same company forever, but graduate and enter as they want.
