I am playing the role of Jekyll and Hyde. It was my first night to meet the audience last night and it was amazing. I am excited to meet more people in Seoul.
Have you ever seen another actor or Korean actor of the musical? If you have, what did you take notice?
I did not see any other shows of the production. I thought it was most important to act by the script. I found the character from the story within the production, from the original book, and glad to have not seen another production of the show. That's how I made my own 'Jekyll' and 'Hyde'.
How do you feel after your first show
Good. It was fantastic and first shows always make me concentrate more. I become more cautious. It was very surprising to see how many people came. Broadway theaters are smaller than these theaters so I couldn't help being surprised.
You mentioned about the theater size, what's the difference between the Broadway and Korea stages?
I felt like the people were closer. Honestly I had to remind myself the hard works in filling a large theater. From the front row to the back, the audience paid the same money so I tried to focus on how I could reach out even to the back row for the best show experience.
