Clara glammed up as the model for 'MetroCity' at 2017 Hera Fashion week. Clara beamed on the runway by strutting with perfection, but as the saying goes, even the most beautiful swan is paddling hard under water. The effort she put in behind the scenes is noteworthy.
Q. How do you feel being on the runway today?
I really adore and respect models and to be with them at such a great surrounding makes me so happy. To be honest I was really nervous. From how to walk to how to capture the mood of the brand was nerve-wracking so I did a lot of research. Watched a lot of runway videos too. I'm a bit sad everything ended so quickly. It was very entertaining and I want to be on stage again.
Q. What did you care about the most before getting on stage?
For my body, I tried to lose weight than building muscles. Since the models are taller and skinnier than me I wanted to slim up so I don't look too short. Did a lot of stretching for my legs.
I also kept paying close attention to my skin. Before going to bed I applied enough face oil and in mornings I did facial masks so the makeup would really fit me.
Q. What did you focus on at most for the runway?
Walking straight. That was the hardest. And also not wobbling my upper body, and walking without waving my arms too much. Those two were what I tried to remind myself the most. I want to get back on stage after doing more studies and research on walking. It was such a fun time for me.
Q. How have you been and what are your plans?
The Chinese film went really well this time. I was lucky to get a good start. Chinese people were all very nice and kind to me. I mainly communicated with them in English and even those who couldn't speak it tried to talk in English for me. Their English actually got better than my Chinese. That's how much I've been enjoying all the shootings.
I'm planning to do a Chinese drama in May, and it starts shooting at Hongkong and Macao. This drama also has a whole list of amazing casts and I am so honored to be in such a production.
