Over the 15th and 16th the Jamsil Olympic Park was a festive outlet as Coldplay visited Korea for the first time since its debut after 19 years by the 'Hyundai Card Super Concert'.
Coldplay selected its show list for the 15th, 'Fix You' and the 16th, 'Yellow' in showing respect to the 'Sewol Ho' accident that happened last April 16th, 2013 in Korea. Korean fans replied to such love by singing along to all their songs, creating a beautiful scene throughout the concert.
Coldplay's visit to Korea has ended but there are more festivals upcoming this year. The following events also will be held in the size and popularity as much as the Coldplay concert.
This coming 23rd at the Seoul Olympic 88 Jandi yard there will be Korea's first female music festival, 'Muse in City Festival'. The festival started last June in 2013 inviting female musicians from all over the world. For this year Norah Jones, Corrine Baily Rae, Yuna Kim, Gyusun Shim, The Barberettes, and Angelina Jordan are named as the headlines of the event.
Pitbull the 'party music animal' will also be visiting Korea. Since his debut in 2004 Pitbull has been infusing delightful Cuban rhythm and EDM, now a world renown artist. This May 18th he will have his first Korea concert at the Olympic Hall.
After Pitbull's concert, the 'Seoul Jazz Festival' is waiting. Since its start in 2007 May, it's been over ten years. Over the two days of the 27th and 28th Jamiroquai, Honne and more worldly artists will be covered along with Zico, CRUSH, Epik
High X Nell, Zion.T and more top Korean artists.
The 'World DJ Festival(May/13-14)', 'Ultra Korea(June 10-11)', 'Jisan Valley Rock Festival(July 28-30)', 'Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival(August 11-13)' and more EDM and rock festivals will also be waiting its audience.
